Terms of Service

Effective September 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Medsy mobile application and related services (the “App”).

Medsy is operated by Bernardo Ramada (“Medsy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). You can contact us at support@getmedsy.com.

By selecting “Get started” or another acceptance or continuation action after these Terms are presented to you, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Medsy.

If you downloaded Medsy through Apple's App Store, Apple's applicable Standard End User License Agreement and App Store terms also apply. These Terms supplement those terms and govern Medsy's own features and services.

1. Medsy is an organizational tool, not medical advice

Medsy is designed to help users record medications and supplements, create schedules and reminders, and keep a user-entered history of doses.

Medsy does not provide medical advice, medical diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, dosage recommendations, medication-interaction advice, clinical monitoring, emergency monitoring, or emergency services.

Information displayed by Medsy is based primarily on information entered or selected by the user and should not be treated as an authoritative medical record or professional medical recommendation.

Always follow the instructions provided by your physician, pharmacist, other qualified healthcare professional, and medication label.

Do not start, stop, change, skip, repeat, increase, or decrease a medication or dose based solely on information in Medsy.

If you are unsure whether or how to take a medication, contact an appropriate healthcare professional.

If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on Medsy for emergency assistance.

2. Reminders and Critical Alerts are not guaranteed

Medsy may provide ordinary notifications, follow-up reminders, Critical Alerts, widgets, and other reminder-related functionality.

No reminder or notification system is guaranteed to work every time.

Critical Alerts, follow-up reminders, and other notifications may be delayed, suppressed, duplicated, displayed incorrectly, or not delivered because of circumstances including device settings, notification permissions, Focus modes, operating-system behaviour, device state, battery conditions, software errors, system updates, compatibility problems, or other circumstances outside Medsy's control.

A notification being displayed does not establish that a medication should medically be taken at that moment.

You are responsible for checking your medication instructions and confirming the appropriate action independently.

Medsy must not be relied upon as your sole safeguard for medically time-critical medication. If missing a dose could create a significant health risk, use an appropriate additional reminder or monitoring method recommended by your healthcare professional.

3. Your information and your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • entering accurate medication, supplement, dosage, schedule, instruction, and dose-history information;
  • correcting information when it changes;
  • checking medication labels and professional instructions;
  • confirming whether a dose was actually taken;
  • keeping your device functioning and sufficiently charged;
  • maintaining appropriate notification permissions and settings;
  • reviewing notification and schedule settings after device or operating-system changes; and
  • deciding whether Medsy is appropriate for your circumstances.

Medsy does not independently verify the medical accuracy, completeness, safety, or appropriateness of information you enter.

Dose histories, summaries, exports, health reports, and similar outputs generated by Medsy reflect user-entered or user-recorded information. They may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed before being relied upon or shared with a healthcare professional.

4. Using Medsy for another person

You may use Medsy to organize information for a child, dependent, family member, pet, or another person only if you have the legal right, authority, or appropriate permission to do so.

You are responsible for ensuring that you are permitted to enter, store, export, and share another person's information.

Do not enter another person's confidential or health information into Medsy if you are not authorized to manage that information.

Medsy does not verify guardianship, caregiving authority, consent, or your relationship with another person.

5. Eligibility and minors

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

Medsy is not directed to children under 13.

If you are under the age at which applicable law allows you to agree to these Terms independently, you may use Medsy only with the involvement and authorization of a parent or legal guardian where required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You may use Medsy only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You may not:

  • misuse or intentionally interfere with the App or its operation;
  • attempt to circumvent security or access controls;
  • use the App to violate another person's privacy or legal rights;
  • use Medsy in connection with unlawful activities;
  • copy, distribute, modify, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except where expressly permitted;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code except to the extent applicable law expressly permits such activity; or
  • falsely represent that Medsy provides professional medical advice or services.

7. Local storage, backups, exports, and data loss

Medication and related health information entered into Medsy is processed and stored locally on your device.

Medsy does not operate a Medsy account or cloud service that receives or synchronizes your medication database, and Medsy does not have remote access to that database.

Local Medsy information may nevertheless be included in device backups managed by Apple, including iCloud or other Apple-controlled backups, depending on your device and backup settings.

If you deliberately export a backup, health report, or other file from Medsy, you are responsible for choosing where the file is stored and with whom it is shared.

Deleting Medsy, deleting information inside Medsy, losing or replacing a device, storage failure, software errors, or restoring a device may result in permanent or temporary data loss.

Medsy does not guarantee that locally stored or exported information can be recovered.

You are responsible for maintaining any backup you consider necessary.

8. Purchases, subscriptions, and free trials

Medsy offers paid features through auto-renewing subscriptions and may offer other in-app purchases.

The available product, subscription period, total price, introductory offer or free-trial period, and other purchase information are displayed before you confirm the transaction through Apple's App Store.

Payment is processed by Apple using the Apple Account associated with your device or App Store account.

Auto-renewing subscriptions continue for the selected subscription period and renew automatically until cancelled.

If a free or discounted trial is offered and you are eligible, the subscription will automatically convert to the paid subscription shown at the time of purchase when the trial ends unless you cancel before renewal.

Apple recommends cancelling a trial at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to renew.

Trial and introductory-offer eligibility is determined by Apple and may depend on your previous subscriptions or purchases. Medsy cannot guarantee that a particular user will qualify for an offer.

You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.

Cancelling prevents future renewal but generally does not retroactively cancel a subscription period that has already been purchased, except where applicable law or Apple's policies provide otherwise.

Apple manages payment processing, renewal, billing issues, purchase restoration, and refunds. Refund eligibility is determined under Apple's procedures and applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory cancellation, refund, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. RevenueCat and other third-party services

Medsy uses Apple and RevenueCat to provide and manage purchases and subscription entitlements.

RevenueCat receives limited purchase, subscription, entitlement, and technical information necessary to operate these features. Medsy does not intentionally send medication names, dosage information, schedules, notes, dose history, notification contents, health reports, or other information from your local medication database to RevenueCat.

Apple and RevenueCat operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

Medsy does not control the availability, operation, security, or policies of third-party services and is not responsible for failures caused solely by services outside Medsy's reasonable control, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

When using Medsy, you must also comply with applicable third-party terms, including Apple's applicable App Store and device terms.

10. Availability, updates, and changes to the App

We may update, change, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary to:

  • improve Medsy;
  • maintain compatibility;
  • respond to security issues;
  • meet legal or regulatory requirements;
  • address technical problems; or
  • change Medsy's product offering.

We do not guarantee that Medsy or any particular feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, operating-system version, or future Apple feature.

Updates to your device or operating system may change how Medsy behaves.

11. Intellectual property

Medsy and its software, interface, visual design, graphics, text, branding, and other original content are owned by or licensed to Medsy and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms and Apple's applicable licensing terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use Medsy for its intended purpose.

No ownership rights in Medsy are transferred to you.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Medsy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • reminders will always be delivered;
  • information entered by a user is accurate;
  • dose history will always be complete;
  • reports or exports will be error-free;
  • the App will be continuously available;
  • the App will operate without bugs;
  • data will never be lost; or
  • Medsy will be suitable for every medication regimen or individual circumstance.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and conditions that may otherwise be implied, including warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

Nothing in this section excludes any warranty, guarantee, consumer protection, or other legal right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Medsy and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, use, or data arising from or relating to Medsy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medsy is not responsible for harm or loss arising from:

  • incorrect or incomplete information entered by a user;
  • failure to update medication information;
  • missed, late, duplicated, or incorrectly configured reminders;
  • reliance on Medsy instead of obtaining appropriate professional medical advice;
  • a decision to take, skip, repeat, stop, or change medication;
  • failure to seek emergency or professional medical assistance;
  • loss of locally stored information;
  • insecure handling of an exported file;
  • unauthorized access to your device;
  • operating-system or device behaviour; or
  • failures of Apple, RevenueCat, or another third-party service outside our reasonable control.

Where Medsy is legally liable and applicable law permits a monetary limitation, Medsy's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for Medsy during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Where applicable law does not permit that limitation, liability is limited only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct, fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury where such liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, or any other liability that applicable law requires Medsy to bear.

14. Ending your use of Medsy

You may stop using Medsy at any time.

Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. Subscriptions must be managed through your Apple Account or the applicable Apple subscription-management interface.

We may restrict or terminate access to Medsy where reasonably necessary because of unlawful or abusive use, security concerns, legal requirements, or a material breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, and limitation-of-liability provisions, will continue to apply.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when Medsy changes or when necessary for legal, regulatory, security, or operational reasons.

The effective date at the top identifies the current version.

For material changes, we may provide notice in the App or require you to acknowledge an updated version where appropriate.

Your continued use of Medsy after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by applicable law.

Changes do not retroactively remove rights you already have under mandatory law.

16. Applicable law and consumer rights

These Terms are subject to applicable law.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply to you under the law of your place of residence or another applicable jurisdiction.

Nothing in these Terms limits your right to bring a claim before a court or authority available to you under mandatory applicable law.

17. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Our failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.

You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms where doing so would be unlawful or materially affect Medsy without our consent.

We may transfer our rights or obligations as part of a legitimate reorganization, transfer of Medsy, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with applicable Apple terms and any purchase terms presented to you through the App Store, form the agreement governing your use of Medsy.
